Muziekpublique’s Music & Dance Academy offers more than 50 courses of traditional music and world dances. Besides the oud and the balafon you can also learn gipsy guitar, tango violin or Brazilian percussion. All classes are given by professional musicians and dancers in different locations in Brussels. Each teacher practices his or her own pedagogical approach. Music theory is not necessary for a good part of the courses, since learning is often based on oral transmission, as in the case of many world cultures. We offer individual courses as well as courses in group and ensembles.

meeting sessions
During the week of meeting sessions you have the opportunity to meet our teachers and see if you really like the instrument. The encounter courses will take place from 21 to 23 September 2021. Please check the page of the course you are interested in for the exact date and time of the meeting session.
