Accordions ensemble
The programme:
Throughout the year, Piet Maris invites you on 8 sessions with the accordions ensemble. One Monday per month, you will learn to play as an ensemble with a varied repertoire under the leadership of an experienced performer. (Check the dates below)
The course is divided in two parts: First we will work in small groups according to the level of playing, which allows all the students to enrich their repertoire. Afterwards, all students will take part in a big accordion band: New Accordion Harmony .
Each course we begin a new piece, and we regularly refresh the repertoire of past sessions. Examples of the repertoire we have gone through in the past years : sad waltz, accordion, bourrees, la cumparsita, la mal-aimable, cocek.
The programme is suited for both beginning and advanced players of the chromatic accordion. Attention! In this course you won’t learn how to play the accordion, you will learn how to play in group.
Piet Maris is the driving force behind the groups “Jaune Toujours” and “Mec Yek”.
