A cuatro and a voice
A cuatro and a voice. That’s all Dariana Lopez (vocals) and Daniel Uzcategui (cuatro) need to create a uniquely intimate connection between music and lyrics. With remarkable harmony, these top musicians deliver a passionate tribute to Venezuelan songs, both past and present.
Daniel Uzcategui is one of the leading cuatristas of his generation. He has performed alongside renowned artists such as Aquiles Báez, Omar Acosta, Eddy Marcano, Juan Ernesto Laya, Luis Silva, and Soledad Bravo. However, it is with Dariana Lopez that he feels an extraordinary musical synergy.
Despite her young age, Dariana Lopez is already a key figure in Venezuelan vocal music, both as a teacher and a performer. She made a significant impact with her recent album, Por eso canto, produced by composer and cuatro player Miguel Siso, whom audiences may remember from the previous edition of Sonamos Latinoamérica.
