El Revire Duo
Born and raised in San Antonio de Areco, Buenos Aires, Sabrina Destefanis and Walter Ratto, known as El Revire Duo, bring a fresh and innovative take on Argentine folk and tango. Their repertoire features works by legendary composers such as Gardel-Le Pera, Troilo-Manzi, Cobián-Cadicamo, Atahualpa Yupanqui, and Cuchi Leguizamón. Their dynamic and emotional performances showcase a variety of genres, including tango, waltz, milonga, candombe, Argentine folk music, as well as vocal arrangements and instrumental folk interpretations. With Sabrina Destefanis on electric bass, bombo legüero, and vocals and Walter Ratto on guitar and vocals, they guarantee an engaging and captivating show.
Karina Clavijo
Karina Clavijo, an Ecuadorian singer, songwriter, and researcher, is a passionate advocate for Afro-Ecuadorian music from the Esmeraldas region in northeastern Ecuador. The music of this region is centered around the marimba, accompanied by drums and unique percussion instruments like the bombo and cununo, played during religious ceremonies and festive gatherings. Characterized by call-and-response singing and rhythmic styles such as currulao, bambuco, and andarele, this tradition carries deep cultural significance.
With her all-female band, La Diversa, Karina Clavijo promotes the rich Afro-Ecuadorian and Latin American musical heritage, blending traditional rhythms with modern influences to create a vibrant and immersive sound experience that is both healing and electrifying.
