Tar

Milâd Mohammadi
MABO - Lycée Maria-Boodschap - Rue de la Braie 22, 1000 Bruxelles

the course

The tar is a traditional string instrument from Iran, belonging to the family of long-necked lutes. It is often used in classical Persian music and has a deep, warm sound that is characteristic of Middle Eastern traditions. The tar typically has six strings that can be tuned according to different modes, enabling rich melody and harmony.

In this course, you will learn the basic techniques of the instrument and delve into the culture and history of Persian music.

The teacher can help finding an instrument. For more information, please contact Muziekpublique at cours@muziekpublique.be.
