These courses offer the opportunity to discover traditional dance forms from Western Europe like the waltz, polka, gigue and mazurka. The programme includes dynamic group dances, specific repertoires (Brittany, Sweden, Auvergne etc…) and, of course, dances for couples. You will be able to put into practice everything you have learned at the many folk balls in Brussels. We offer different groups for different levels of ability. There is no need for a partner or previous experience; all the participants dance together in a relaxed atmosphere.
In 2002, Koen Dhondt started giving folk dance classes in Brussels. This quickly resulted in an intensive cooperation with Muziekpublique.Other experienced teachers have since reinforced the team, amongst them Valérie Vanparys.
The association Frisse Folk has become a renowned dance school with around 200 students.
