Latin America reveals an incredible diversity of musical traditions, drawing inspiration from African rhythms, European wind instruments, and songs and flutes of Indian peoples. The Sonamos Latinoamerica festival has for several years been dedicated to highlighting this diversity and returns for the fifth time in Belgium for a week of concerts, parties and exhibitions. And for this anniversary edition, female artists will be in the spotlight!

Expo

Hernan Lira is the Argentine Gepetto! This puppet maker has the gift of bringing them to life with automations, as passion and love drive his artisan activity! His work will be exhibited during the three concerts of the festival. You may also have the opportunity to meet him in the corridors of the theater.

Caxixi in the Making

On Friday and Saturday evening, Mico Nagô will be present to exhibit his handicraft Afro-Brazilian percussion in the foyer, and demonstrate his caxixi weaving technique. Be curious!
