The Brussels Béguinage is little known and therefore also one of the quietest neighborhoods in the center, also because there has been a traffic circulation plan for more than twenty years. Only an alley and the church remain of the old Béguinage. The rest was replaced in the 19th century with some prestige too. The church in the center is not only a place of prayer, it is also ‘the house of compassion’. Anyone who comes over will be warmly welcomed.
Practicalities These guided tours are organised by Brukselbinnenstebuiten, so they take place outside and focus on the neighbourhood around a location in the programme. You can take the tour in French or Dutch and English. As they start at 5:00 pm and end at 6:15 pm, they can easily be combined with the first session of the concert at the same venue. For organisational reasons, we sell tickets for these two events separately.
Note This tour is organised just before the concert of Las Lloronas at the Blue Freemason Temple. Click here to buy tickets for this concert and thus combine the two activities.
