After wandering through Europe, the Brussels trio returns to the Belgian capital with many songs up their sleeve. Their writing has matured – poetic, sharp but always accurate, it sets itself firmly in a constantly changing society. The vocal harmonies, which made them famous, are still very present and allow us to let our guard down, to let our tears flow – of joy, of sorrow, of relief. With this new album, Las Lloronas once again takes us to a world where we don’t have to apologize for being exactly who we are.

Sura Solomon (BE/USA), Amber in ‘t Veld (ES/NL) and Marieke Werner (DE) started on the streets, bonding around their passion for sociology, activism and art. Their first album “Soaked”, made out of their intimate and multilingual feminist poetry, touched the hearts of thousands of people. They are back now with “Out of the Blue”, a more committed, a bolder and extremely touching second album.

Las Lloronas performances’ are often described as being very original, but their music also has a timeless quality: it sticks to the skin, emotionally raw and captivating. Qualities found in many other traditions such as klezmer, flamenco or blues. Always along with a guitar, ukulele, accordion and clarinet, they offer a unique musical universe, far from conventional codes.
