SOLD OUT - Prem1ère Esquisse

Le Monde est un Village, Live Broadcast
Friday 28 April 2017 - 19h00
Théâtre 140
FRI 28/04

Le Monde est un Village, the radio programme on La Première hosted by Didier Mélon, presents a new edition of “Prem1ère Esquisse”. The aim of the evening is to stimulate a meeting between musicians who would not normally work together. Musicians from different backgrounds with different approaches – musical confrontations which are broadcast live on the radio between 8pm and 10pm during the programme “Le Monde est un Village”.

For this edition clarinetist Aurélie Charneux, known for her work with Klezmic Zirkus and Odessalavie is challenged to leave her artistic comfort zone. This she will do with cello, vocal and percussion accompaniment. In a completely new project which she calls “Lucy Nemorosa – la mère de nos mères” she will take us on “a journey from prehistory to the distant future with organic music and words which evoke Lucy, the original mother of all humanity”.

At the start of the evening Didier Mélon will give us the opportunity to hear two projects from either side of the Belgian language border. La Crapaude will present dynamic Walloon singing round the table, which also serves as percussion instrument. Following this MandolinMan will breathe new life into traditional dance music from Brabant played, as their name suggests, on four instruments from the mandolin family.
