Muziekpublique has been nominated in the “Professional Excellence” category by the Transglobal World Music Chart, an award that recognizes those who enhance the visibility of world music and its numerous subgenres.

This nomination acknowledges two decades of work, passion, and dedication to traditional and folk music. Muziekpublique joins a distinguished list of past honorees, including Womex, Womad, Simon Broughton (Songlines), Alan Lomax, Susana Baca, ANIM (Afghan National Institute of Music), Oumou Sangaré, and Danyel Waro.

The Transglobal World Music Chart, composed of international music journalists and critics, annually awards this prize to highlight outstanding initiatives in the world music sector.
