Tollenaere Street gives the impression of being densely built-up, but is actually situated in the middle of several green parks: the grotto of Jette on one side, the newly constructed park L28 on the other, along the railway line, and further on the Tour & Taxis park. Whilst it seems to be in the middle of nowhere, it is in fact easily accessible by metro and has a green bicycle and pedestrian link to the city centre. The industrial past of the neighbourhood has not been completely erased: the Brussels Soapworks company (Savonneries Bruxelloises), founded in 1926, was recently relaunched by two young entrepreneurs. Proof that this district has not lost its authenticity.

Practicalities These guided tours are organised by Brukselbinnenstebuiten, so they take place outside and focus on the neighbourhood around a location in the programme. You can take the tour in French or Dutch and English. As they start at 4:30 pm and end at 6 pm, they can easily be combined with the first session of the concert at the same venue. For organisational reasons, we sell tickets for these two events separately.
