Bert Cornelis, has built a solid reputation as a sitar player. Thanks to years of classical training with his teacher Pt. Ashok Pathak, his academic studies in traditional Indian music at the University of Allahabad and numerous tours around India, his style is deeply rooted in tradition.  Bert Cornelis invites these three talented Indian musicians to join in for an evening of ragas played as duets, trios and quartets.

Abhisek Lahiri (sarod) is an accomplished sarod musician. He was trained under his eminent father and Guru Pandit Alok Lahiri from a very tender age. He has won many awards in India for his refined technique on the sarod and his illuminating approach to ragas.

Partha Sarathi Mukherjee (tabla) is a very gifted tabla player and versatile musician who has toured the world extensively performing with classical Indian artists, Middle Eastern musicians and western jazz musicians. He is an eminent disciple of the legendary tabla maestro and doyen of Benaras Gharana Lt. Padmabhusan Pandit Samta Prasadji.

Somdatta Chatterjee (vocals) was born into a musical family. She has been trained from a young age under the guidance of her father, her uncle, her grandmother and the guru of Agra Gharana, Vidushi Subhra Guha.
