The opening concert of the Sonamos Latinoamérica Festival immediately sets the tone with two exceptional ensembles — an evening filled with poetry, virtuosity, and the living soul of Latin America.
The evening opens with Duo Reinoso–Martínez, formed by Guillermo Andrés Reinoso and Joaquín Martínez, two Argentine musicians from San Juan with a strong background in both classical music and Latin American folk traditions, particularly the diverse musical landscapes of Argentina. These voices unite their vibrations between the vineyards and the highest peaks of the Andes, bringing the timeless essence of ancestral music into a contemporary and renewed musical language.

The stage is then taken over by Manoa Quartet, inspired by the mythical Golden City of Manoa, also known as El Dorado, a symbol of utopia. This project embodies the meeting of Brazil and Venezuela, of the Amazon and the Orinoco, and of traditional rhythms with contemporary musical exploration. The group consists of four internationally acclaimed musicians (Latin Grammy, Victoire du Jazz, among others). Two string virtuosos — Brazilian Matheus Donato (cavaquinho) and Miguel Siso (cuatro) — together with Brazilian pianist Léo Montana and Venezuelan double bassist Manuel A. Sánchez, create a sonic world where traditional rhythms, contemporary compositions, and improvisation converge. Their music moves fluidly between acoustic warmth and modern sound textures.
