Shahabeddin Azinmehr, born in Tehran in 1985, is a singer, târ and setâr player, and a researcher in Persian music. Trained by renowned masters such as Mohammad Musavi and Dariush Talai, he blends virtuosity with technical skill and expressiveness. A member of the Auster Loo Collective and Orpheus XXI, a project led by Jordi Savall, he has performed on numerous stages and albums. His debut solo album, Showq-e Mastur, showcases the delicacy of his setâr playing and the captivating depth of his voice.

Alongside him is Robbe Kieckens, one of Belgium’s most sought-after percussionists. An explorer of global sounds, he effortlessly shifts between flamenco, jazz, Ottoman music, and African and Persian rhythms. In his hands, a variety of instruments come to life: tombak, darbuka, riq, pandeiro, djembe… A member of the percussion trio Spëcht, he brings exceptional energy and rhythmic richness to each of his performances.

A concert at Hubert’s

Hubert lives in a charming 1960s architect-designed house full of surprises. When friends visit, they often joke that they’re heading up to the “dungeon.” A spiral staircase leads to a more unexpected level, and the apartment door follows the curve of the “tower.” The exterior, slightly weathered by time, hides a fascinating interior: exposed concrete and brick, warm wood, blue stone floors, and large windows. Hubert, passionate about world cultures and music, has been hosting a radio show for 20 years. His wife, a musician in baroque ensembles, shares his love for music.
