TriOrganico (MEX): CD release ‘Floresta’ | Buena Vida Social Band ft. Didier Laloy & Pascal Chardome

“Fête de la solidarité” (Solidarity Festival), by CNCD-11.11.11
Friday 9 November 2018 - 20h00
Molière Theatre - Galerie de la Porte de Namur, 3 Square du Bastion, 1050 Bruxelles
FRI 09/11

As a part of its campaign for justice for migrants, CNCD-11.11.11. is organizing an evening of concerts and welcomes everyone who dreams of drawing up new routes for legal migration.

The Buena Vida Social Band, made up of a chorus of some fifty-odd militants, owes its name to the Andean concept of Buen Vivir – the good life, which promotes living in harmony and mutual support. The group has mobilized in support of justice for migrants through a multi-facetted repertoire that it distils through performances in public spaces and onstage. Under the direction of Pascal Chardome (arrangements) and Michèle Liebman, the chorus will be accompanied, exceptionally, by Didier Laloy on accordion.

Following a long tour through numerous remote villages in Argentina, TriOrganico returns to present its new CD ‘Floresta’. The great diversity of Latin-Américan music is partly due to the heritage of its migratory past. In it you can find African rhythms, European stringed instruments and wind instruments or vocal techniques stemming from the native American populations. Fascinated by the richness of the sounds and melodies of their continent, the three multi-instrumentalists of TriOrganico offer us an ode to this mixture of traditions. With the help of utterly surprising instruments that draw their origins from nature or from aboriginal populations, and thanks to their own talent as composers, they summon us to a festive event that shows off the whole wide range of this continent with its infinite influences.

This is a collaboration between Muziekpublique and the CNCD-11.11.11 (National Committee for Development Cooperation), at the initiative of the Bourgmestre, the “Echevin” responsible for twinning and international cooperation and the “collège des bourgmestre et échevins” of Ixelles commune. Profits will go to Opération 11.11.11
