Bipolar Bows

Bipolar Bows is a unique string duo that brings together skill, originality, and energy in every performance.

Cellist Toby Kuhn and violinist Lotte Remmen have a background in classical music, but their real strength lies in their love for Balkan rhythms, Celtic tunes, improvisation, and raw, expressive playing. Their music is deeply rooted in European folk traditions, but also draws influences from jazz, funk, and film music, creating a rich and varied sound that sparks the imagination.

Their strong musical connection is at the heart of every piece they play and makes their performances engaging and memorable.

Their first album, Krunčhug (2020), introduced their musical world, blending intense rhythms with emotional depth. It earned them the Flanders Folk Award 2021 for Most Promising Group.

In 2024, they released Little Bundles of Joy, an album that offers a bright and reflective musical journey, connecting with listeners on both an emotional and musical level.

Delhaize MUSEUM LionCity

Behind the gates of this former Delhaize headquarters lies a buzzing cultural jungle: welcome to LionCity. Since 1883, this massive site in Molenbeek has seen it all and today, under the care of non-profit Entrakt, it’s become a playground for creativity, community and social impact.

From recording studios to graffiti workshops, parkour zones, food surplus collectives, flea markets and urban gardens, it’s 40,000 m² of raw potential, where ideas grow wild. Nestled in the maze: the old warehouse, now home to the Delhaize Museum.

And this is just the beginning, in time, LionCity will evolve into a full-on urban ecosystem with housing, local production spaces, a supermarket, public facilities, urban farming and 10,000 m² of public space. A place in transformation, alive with energy and the perfect setting for a musical detour.
