Adesa Clownshow: A Vibrant West African Spectacle for the Whole Family

Step into the lively world of West African traditions, music, and dance with the Ghanaian troupe ADESA. This colorful clown show blends ancient rituals with contemporary imagination, offering a unique performance that invites both young and old to experience the richness of stories, rhythms, and movements from countries like Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Togo.

With authentic percussion, traditional dances, and spiritual storytelling, ADESA brings the elements of nature to life. Witness the power of the wind in the dynamic Tigari dance, feel the joy of the harvest in the rhythmic Nagla dance, and discover how the younger generation is initiated into life through the Kpatscha dance. Every moment on stage is filled with cultural significance, delivered with skill and playful spirit.

What makes this show truly special? The surprising blend of clowning, acrobatics and live music. The performers don’t just bring their heritage to life, they do so with humor, imagination, and an irresistible energy that captivates audiences of all ages.

The ADESA Clownshow is more than just a performance, it’s an invitation to explore the heart and soul of West Africa, wrapped in a dazzling, accessible show full of music, dance, and joy.

A magical family event bursting with rhythm, laughter, and wonder. Come watch, listen, and join the celebration!

Red Cross Reception Centre

At the heart of Ixelles, on Avenue de la Couronne 42, stands the recently opened Belgian Red Cross reception center. Since August 2024, this center has offered a safe and welcoming space for up to 360 people seeking international protection, including families with children, single adults, and those fleeing conflict or uncertainty. Housed in the former “Gray Ixelles” nursing home, the center is supported by a dedicated team of 40 staff members who provide daily care, guidance, and support.

As part of the Hide & Seek Festival, we are hosting a uniqu family concert at this special location. Together with the talented artists of Adesa, we will create a joyful and unifying musical experience. Both residents of the center and members of the local community are warmly invited to join in this shared musical celebration. Through music and acrobatics, we celebrate a universal language that connects people of all ages, transcending borders and stories alike.
