The Irish Cathal Ó Curráin is a multi-instrumentalist from Donegal. He influences the Irish tradition on the violin, banjo, bouzouki and singing. Coming from a typical family of Irish singers, he learned the art from his aunts and many musicians from his region. His repertoire gives pride of place to traditional Donegal songs, which he chooses and performs with his partner Marty Barry on guitar. His silky smooth voice, his typical Irish timbre and his unique interpretations of the songs earned him the RTE Radio 1 Ireland Best Emerging Talent Award in 2022.
