The Queimada is one of our great classics. We expect to see many of you celebrating the magic alliance between the musicians and the public in this festive atmosphere. So, let’s dance! Whether you are beginners or experts, do not worry. We promise you an excellent cocktail: a dance initiation by our partner “Frisse Folk” and two folk balls, in the splendid setting of the Maison du Peuple. Not to mention the druid who will light up the Queimada, a Galician drink, under the musical direction of the bagpipe band A Contrabanda.
Florian de Schepper and Pablo Golder, of the Loogaroo group, will open the ball by unveiling the brilliant result of many years’ work. The two musicians were able to bring about an understanding between the accordion’s hellish melodies and the guitar’s chord progressions. They will present their first album, ‘Nautilius”, for the pleasure of our ears and feet.
The party shall continue with Trio 14, who will reveal their passion for impulses, as well as their constant search for groove and various arrangements. Born in the folk ball universe, the group’s musicians, Julien Maréchal and Simon Wolfs on the violin and Thibault Debehogne on the guitar, will have no trouble attracting you into an energetic and refined ball. They will bring along their second album, ‘En aéroplan’, a historic dance trip, in an uninhibited style, ranging from 18th century Wallonia to contemporary Brittany.
