Concert at 8:30pm
In this immense hangar of the Army Museum on the Cinquantenaire site, some of the most iconic aircraft in the history of millitary aviation are preserved. The collection now numbers some 130 examples, including the famous F16. If these aircraft are no longer in working order, they are there to remind us that they should now belong in a museum rather than be kept for other uses. Whichever way you look at it, we shall try to bring poetry, openmindedness and notes of hope to a hangar that can bring a chill to the spine of the less warlike souls among us.
To our regret, the Hatan Ensemble had to cancel at the last minute. Fortunately, we were able to replace the band with another high-quality group, the Mäshräp Ensemble off the Abbas family. They perform ballads, folk songs and classical music from Uyghur (East Turkestan) in western China.
This concert will have two sessions: at 6:30pm and at 8:30pm: please take care to buy a ticket for the same starting time as the other members of your “bubble”.
