Belgina Woldwide Music Meeting: A day to reconnect, reflect and rethink the future of global music in Belgium

On the occasion of the World Day for Cultural Diversity, the Belgian Worldwide Music Network invites world music professionals from across Belgium to gather in Brussels for its annual meeting.
A full-day event held at GC De Markten, right in the city center where voices meet, ideas grow and communities strengthen.

What to expect?

09:30 – Welcome coffee & network registration
Arrive, meet, reconnect. Informal time to ease into the day.

10:00 – Plenary session & BWMN General Assembly
Open to all. An overview of the day, a look back at the network’s actions, and a glimpse into what’s ahead, including governance updates and key priorities.

11:30 – Choose your focus

• Workshop A (FR/NL): Sustainable Careers in Music
  With guest input from Didier Goossens (Vi.be). A real-talk session on ageism, navigating transitions and passing on experience across generations.
• Workshop B (EN): International Promotion Strategies
• Led by Duncan Ballantyne (London/Madrid), specialist in inclusive music storytelling and cross-border visibility.

12:30 – Vegetarian lunch
Simple, generous and made for conversation. Sit down, meet someone new, share what you’re working on.

13:30 – Cross-presentation: Inspiring the Worldwide Music Sector
Spotlight on JazzLab and Les Lundis d’Hortense, two initiatives that are breaking new ground in artist support. A chance to connect their work with BWMN’s broader vision.

15:10 – Speed-meetings (by reservation)
A direct line to agents, bookers, press, distributors, cultural organisations and more.
