End of Season is the annual academy festival where the students of the Muziekpublique Academy shine on stage. There are many of them, more than 1.000 to participate weekly in traditional music and dance classes from all over the world.

They learn to play oud, kora, qanun, calabash, tango, oriental percussion, Carnatic singing, chromatic accordion, gaita, flamenco dance. Others learn to play together repertoires of Afro-Colombian music, Balkan music, Samba & Choro, or European folk music. They perfect their skills on an instrument, discover the richness of other cultures and share musical moments with their teachers and other students.

Traditionally, the students and their teachers are highlighted during the End of Season. During these two days, they present their work, the result of several weeks of lessons, and showcase different musical cultures flourishing in Brussels. During the End of Season, we travel just about everywhere in the world: from West Africa to the Balkans, through the south of Spain, to arrive via WANA to the other side of the ocean: Latin America!
