Anmoor

Anmoor is a voice, a double bass, and an accordion woven together to breathe new life into ancient melodies. Léo Coq and Pauline Oreins draw from traditional music as one would from a collective memory, composing an intimate, raw and organic sound. Their music grows from a shifting heritage, tunes passed down, transformed and gathered like forgotten stories.

Anmoor is fertile ground: a humus of stories, emotions and silences. A living matter that speaks of roots, transmission, and metamorphosis.

Their new album Spire is like a spiraling melody, one that turns, shifts and changes us along the way. These are songs played, replayed, reshaped by time, by hands, by bodies. No longer yesterday’s tunes, but the ones we needed to hear today. On stage, this spiral comes alive and time seems to pause. The music breathes, improvises and unfolds. It’s an invitation into intimacy, and above all, an invitation to slow down, to listen and to be moved.

Behind the unassuming facade at 35 Rue de la Science lies a hidden gem few get to experience. The Lowenstein Mansion, a stunning early 20th-century townhouse, is a timeless treasure. Once the lavish home of a financier with a passion for horse racing, it now offers a sumptuous setting of elegant woodwork and neo-Louis XIV salons.

If you listen closely, you might just hear the whispers of ambassadors and royals who once walked its historic floors. For many years, this palace served as the Dutch Embassy, and today, its grand salons, dining rooms, and solemn chambers still host public hearings for the administrative section.
