Since the birth of the Zinneke Parade as part of the “Bruxelles/Brussel 2000 – European City of Culture”, Zinneke has led a nomadic life. From the Anspach galleries to the rue de la Caserne, from Byrrh to the chaussée de Vilvorde, the project landed in 2013 in the Masui district. It is finally in the former “General Stamp Workshop” that Zinneke settles with longer-term prospects, thanks to the support of the Brussels-Capital Region, which bought the buildings.

From the Masui building, Zinneke Parade organizes every two years the great popular, surreal parade, typically from Brussels that travels through the streets and avenues of the capital from around twenty Brussels districts. The Zinneke Parade brings together residents, associations and schools from these neighborhoods around a common cultural project.

It is in this zinneke context that we will present the TriOrganico project led by three musicians fascinated by rich and diverse sounds of the South American continent, particularly of Amerindian origin. They tirelessly travel to the remote regions of Latin America in search of instruments that have only changed a little bit over the centuries and whose sounds today vary and contrast with more contemporary instruments and music. All the dance instruments present in this project are the result of field research. Patricia Hernandez Van Cauwenberge (percussion, voice and dance), Osvaldo Hernandez Napoles (composition, strings, winds, percussion and voice) and Juan-Carlos Bonifaz (Marimba, percussion) will offer you original compositions inspired by local traditions.
