“Common Routes” is a project that goes in search of the nomad’s soul.
The nomad who travels with his repertoire and his musical journey and adds, along the way, the melodies and rhythms he captures. Like contemporary nomads, Aïda Nosrat (vocals, violin), Olivier Kikteff (guitars, string instruments) and Antoine Girard (accordion) have traveled through six European countries departing from France. Of course, they could not miss Brussels where they met Aboubakar Traoré (Burkina Faso, ngoni, balafon, percussion, vocals) and Juliette Ferreira (flute, vocals) to create a dynamic ensemble. Each artist brings their own background to the project. For example, the Iranian Aïda Nosrat, the main voice of Atine, who we had the pleasure to admire last year at the Hide & Seek Festival. Or Olivier Kikteff, soul of the gypsy ensemble “Les Doigts de l’Homme” and Antoine Girard, accordionist of the new trio of singer Dan Gharibian of the group Bratsch. We also know Juliette Ferreira of the Kickeuses duo and Aboubakar Traoré who collaborates with the Balima group. Join us for the Belgian stage of “Common Routes”.
