Concert Tricycle has been postponed
Muziekpublique makes every effort to ensure that its concerts take place in the safest conditions for the public, musicians and employees. Since one of Tricycle’s musicians has to be quarantined, tonight’s concert will be moved to a later date to be determined. We will communicate about this later. While we regret having to postpone the concert, we remain convinced that it is our duty to ensure the safety of everyone.
When Tricycle performed for the first time in 1999, this was a coincidence and a necessity. The improvised trio went to Germany to accompany a circus show for a one-shot performance. Twenty years and three albums later, the instrumental band is still active, charming audiences from Brazil to Canada and from Asia to Europe. The trio’s fortes continue to be their inventive melodies, surprising arrangements and improvisations as well as their solid group sound. A brotherhood in music, a balm to the soul.
Accordionist and composer Tuur Florizoone, allround bassist Vincent Noiret (Ghalia Benali and Amorroma) and virtuoso saxophonist/flutist Philippe Laloy (Karim Baggili) are touring to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Tricycle.
