Kaito Winse was born in the northern desert of Burkina Faso, into a family of griots in the village of Lankoué. A multi-talented artist—singer, dancer, and multi-instrumentalist—he is a guardian of the oral traditions of his country. Kaito Winse masters several traditional instruments, including the calabash, the mouth bow, the Fula flute, the toutlé flute and the tama, a drum used to mimic speech.
He creates a natural connection with his audience, taking them on an emotional rollercoaster where despair shifts to ecstasy or a healing trance. Following the traditions of his ancestors, he calls upon their spirits with his flute, welcomes newborns on the tama drum, and… true to his style, Kaito wouldn’t be Kaito without inviting a guest musician to join him. During this concert, he will present his second album, Reele Bumbou.
This concert takes also place at 6.30pm.
A concert at Corinne’s
When Corinne came across the opportunity to fill her beautiful, spacious home with the sound of music, she didn’t hesitate for a second. The house, built in 1898, has been a welcoming space for family and friends ever since Corinne moved in 25 years ago. After hosting storytelling and poetry readings, it was time to make room for music. A word of caution for those with allergies: a cat also shares the house.
