By being a pinpoint of tradition, the Queimada is one of the essentials of Muziekpublique. The evening will begin with a dance introduction by Frisse Folk. Then it’s time for the ball with the performance of “Les Kickeuses”. At intermission, you’ll be able to taste the drink with magical virtues, symbol of friendship between the musicians and the public, against the backdrop of Galician bagpipes from A Contrabanda. After which “La Man Encantada” will excite the public even more!
Les Kickeuses is a duo born from a beautiful meeting between Juliette Ferreira and Lolita Pariaud. Their repertoire on accordion and flute consists of traditional tunes and Western European compositions livening up folk dances. Impossible to stay still while listening to them.

La Man Encantada offers the guarantee of a solid Gascon folk ball, as already demonstrated at the “Grand Bal de l’Europe” in Gennetines or during the Boombalfestival. Superbly sung melodies, traditional texts and original compositions are supported by the accordion and the mandolin and dance to the breath of the flugelhorn. The group gives pride to each person’s talents: Joachim Montbord sings Gascon melodies, music of Occitan poets and traditional texts from the South-West. Gilles De Becdelièvre brings his knowledge of traditional music from Périgord and surrounding areas, while Jérôme Dubois gives everything a touch of current music and jazz.
