You are invited to an unusual event and a unique experience. For one day, the Met-X site, in the Marolles, will be occupied and transformed into a giant Souk, where all sorts of activities, as well as theatrical and musical performances, will follow one another, in a typical Moroccan fashion. Rejoice your taste buds, your ears and your eyes at our Souk Chaabi!
In a popular and festive atmosphere, the public will be able to stroll in this ephemeral souk and shop. It will discover stands proposing handicrafts, workshops and food. Among the booths, it will be able to sit down comfortably in a sitting room to watch performances inspired be the Chaabi musical tradition and by the art of the Aïta. Among the invited artists, there will be members of Casablanca’s Kabareh Cheikhats troupe, the Sultanats B’net Chaabi singers, as well as musicians from the Belgian stage.
After the bustle of the market, the artists will meet in the middle of the Souk in order to offer you a Jami’a, a musical moment of trance, created for this occasion. At nightfall, you will leave the Souk with a light heart, feeling transported.
