The Saz is the generic word for lutes, from the smallest “cura” to the biggest “divan” passing through the baglama, these are stringed instruments used in traditional Anatolian music. Saz lessons are tailored to the student. This course is given following the oral tradition, which was still active until the mid-20th century.
This collective workshop takes place monthly on Thursday with the teacher, Emre Gültekin, from 18h to 20h. However, the students are encouraged to get together on a weekly basis, before the weekly Turkish Ensemble class.
This class is organised in ’cycles’ of 8 classes. You should make a payment of 110€ before the start of each cycle. The classes take place monthly (except for school holidays), according with the availability of the teacher. When the teacher can’t teach, he will contact the students and classes will be postponed. Therefore, cycles of 8 classes can take longer than 8 weeks. There can be maximum 4 cycles per year. The last class will take place on June 21th. Contact us if you want to enroll during the ongoing school year.
